I want to mention a couple things about preparing your sweaters for those of you that will participate in the sweater-coat challenge.
To avoid unbelievable amounts of lint, put each of your sweaters in a pillowcase and tie it up, don't use fabric softener, use plenty of warm water and a couple of towels. I try to avoid the Barbie sized sweaters so I use the delicate cycle on both washer and dryer. Take them out of the pillowcases when you put them into the dryer. Check your lint trap often. Depending on the sweater, sometimes I wash some of them two or three times to get them felted the way I want them.
"Felting", isn't that a neat word to use instead of "shrinking"?
